Jubilation, Too!

Description

Jubilation, Too! is a multi-artist double album compilation released on Myrrh Records in November 1976, a division of Word. It is the second of three album released by Myrrh Records as a part of their Jubilation! Series. The two other compilations, entitled Jubilation! and SuperJubilation!, were released in 1975 and 1977, respectively.

Two more sampler discs featuring twenty songs from artists like Chuck Girard, Phil Keaggy, Honeytree, Randy Matthews, Barry McGuire, Paul Clark, Larry Norman, Randy Stonehill, 2nd Chapter Of Acts, Pat Terry Group, all the biggies. No non-LP tracks, although Judy Kelly’s piano ballad «Window» comes from a very obscure custom LP. Great cover art. Minor trivia point: this is the first Jesus music album ever purchased by yours truly. [Ken Scott, The Archivist, 4th edition]

Back in the day the emerging Jesus Music artists were not widely distributed. Many of the early artists custom albums were distributed by the Sonrise Mercantile Company and available by mail order only. The big exception was Good News Records, Love Song’s label had distribution in the US through some major national record departments in chain stores like Sears and E.J. Korvettes.
