Description
Into Motion is the sophomore studio album by the American pop group Salvador, released on Word Entertainment in 2002, Warner Music Group, an AOL Time Warner Company, manufactured by WEA Manufacturing. The album was produced by Peter Kipley, except tracks 1, 2, 8, and 9 produced by Chris Rodriguez and track 7 produced by Nic Gonzales.
To say that ‘Into Motion’ is a pop album is perhaps somewhat of a restriction. The blurb on the promo cover says, “Progressive acoustic pop blended with a Latin percussive drive.” I don’t think I’ll argue with that, but I’ll say that there’s a good portion of soul and funk here too. There are some feisty horns in the second track «City On A Hill», and it uses some of the lyrics from an old Sunday school song “Red and yellow, black and white you are precious in His sight”. There’s even a Spanish song on here «Alegria» which, I am informed, means happiness or merriment. If my Spanish serves me right, “Salvador” means “Saviour”: the disco-funk of «God People» (all about salvation) certainly confirms the air of party on this album. «Breathing Life» talks about creation, «Can’t Keep It In» is all about joy, and if you’re still not convinced, they end on the outright praise of «Mighty King Of Love».
