Description
“Do Right” – b/w “He Sang Our Love Songs” – is a two-sided 7-inch vinyl single by the American singer, songwriter, and keyboardist Paul Davis, released on Bang Records in 1980, distributed by CBS Records (catalogue number ZS9 4808). Both tracks taken from Davis’ self-titled full-length album released on Bang Records in the US the same year, distributed by CBS Records. (Released on Epic/CBS Records elsewhere in the world.) Produced and arranged by Paul Davis and Ed Seay. Both tracks written by Paul Davis.
On May 17, 1980, the gospel-tinged “Do Right” peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and radio disc jockey Casey Kasem noted the religious aspects of the song, along with other songs before it, on that day’s edition of American Top 40.
