Hjerte i nord is the 20th album by the Norwegian singer and songwriter Hans-Inge Fagervik, released on the Norwegian label Grammofon in March 2024. The album was recorded at Musiclab studio in Stavanger, at Zweidorff studio in Bergen, and at Dryhill Studio in Oslo, Norway; with Rasmus Solem producing. Mixed by Solem. Strings arranged by Tarjei Nysted. All songs written by Hans-Inge Fagervik except “Sjelefred,” a translated version of “Small Town,” a song written by Paul Field and originally recorded on his 2016-album, Being Myself.

Featuring Hans-Inge Fagervik on lead vocals as well as acoustic guitar and tenor-ukulele, backed by a session band consisting of producer Rasmus Solem on keyboards and backing vocals, Thomas Fagervik on acoustic and electric guitar (as well as tenorguitar, mandolin, and guitalele), Peter Haltorp on bass, Harald Nyland on drums, and Arild Nyborg on percussion, with Trygve Hellesen sitting in on flute, Lucas H. Fagervik on trumpet, and Vidar Kenneth Johansen on clarinet, and Tarjei Nysted providing violin, viola, cello, “key harp”, hurdy-gurdy, and autoharp.
