Description

Press On is the third album by the American singer, songwriter, and session drummer Joe English, a former member of Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles band Wings, released on Myrrh Records in 1983, a division of Word. The album was recorded by Joe Wilson at Master’s Touch in Brentwood, Tennessee; and was produced and arranged by Joe English with assistance from the Joe English Band. Vocal overdub engineering by Jim Baird at Bullet Recording in Nashville, Tennessee. Mixed by Scott Hendricks at Bullet Recording. Track arrangements by The Joe English Band. Horn and string arrangements by Tim Smith

The music of “To Know The Heart Of Jesus” was co-written by the British singer/songwriter Adrian Snell, James Isaac Elliott, and Joe English, with lyrics by English. (The Joe English Band actually was the session band on Snell’s 1983-release Midnight Awake.) Backing vocals provided by Tommy Funderburk of The Front fame.
