Description

The Right Thing – b/w “Dancing Too Close (To The Fire)” – is a two-sided 7-inch vinyl single by former Imperials lead vocalist Paul Smith, released on DaySpring Records in 1987, a division of Word Records (catalogue number 901-657615-0). Both tracks were taken from the Smith’s full-length album No Frills released on DaySpring Records the same year, recorded by Jeff Balding, Billy Whittington, JB, Bill Deaton, and Richard Headen at Gold Mine Studio, OmniSound Studios, and Center Stage Studio in Nashville, Tennessee; with Keith Thomas and Tom Hemby producing and arranging (tracks). Mixed at OmniSound Studios and Center Stage Studio. The title track was co-written by Tricia Walker and Paul Smith while the track on the flip-side was written by Tom Hemby.
