Jumping in the House of God III is a dance album project by (members of) the British electronic dance music combo The World Wide Message Tribe, independently released in the UK on Movation in 1998, marketed and distributed by Alliance Music. Also released on ForeFront Records in the US the following year. The album was produced, arranged, recorded, and mixed by Zarc Porter of The World Wide Message Tribe at Perfect Music Studios in Manchester, England. (Track 12 recorded by Matt Wanstall and mixed by Zarc Porter and Grant Alnsworth with Grant Alnsworth producing and arranging. Track 13 remixed by Scott Blackwell and Zarc Porter. Track 14 remixed by Cameron Danté and Zarc Porter.)

And just when you thought the beat couldn’t repeat. Returning to the multi-artist format of Volume I, producer Zarc Porter produces some of his best ever work. It is a breathtaking celebration of all that is immediate and adrenalin pumping in Britain’s sanctified dance scene. Zarc’s productions for pioneers the World Wide Message Tribe have always been first and foremost a question of playing Top 20 catch-up, an endeavour necessary for maximum relevancy to a classroom constituency and down the years Zarc has demonstrated his dazzling ability to re-create the vibe and resonance of just about every dance style and approach that has emerged from the club underground to mass pop consumption. Here he again achieves that most difficult balancing act of style nods without slavish copying and now takes the anarchic mix madness of “Renegade Master” as his starting point to come up with Cameron Dante’s “everybody make some noise” exhortation on «Lift It» and the effect is intensely exciting making it another milestone Tribe recording. Not that Vol.3 has but one gem. The set is studded with dance jewels. You’ve got the delicious cover of the old Joey Smooth classic «Promised Land» with Minds Of Men’s Tracey Riggan demonstrating herself to be one of the soulfullest divas in Christendom; the impishly catchy pop dance lilt of Raze on «That’s The Way It’s Meant To Be»; the breathtaking freeform total consciousness rap «I Thank You For The Rain» by Justin Thomas; the haunting «Look At The Life (Revive 45 Edit)» by the deliciously cool Lucy Britten; and the tremendous dancification of Delirious? «Revival Town». There’s more (I don’t think I’ve mentioned Storm, Matt Redman, Bliss and Shine) but by now I think you’ve grasped that this 51 year old grey bearded reviewer AND his 16 year old daughter (into “Renegade Master” / All Saints & everything in between) think this is a classic which will surely stand as one of the best album’s of the year.
