Description
Bliss is the eleventh solo album by the American singer, songwriter, session musician, and producer Phil Madeira, Kickstarter-funded and independently released by Madeira on Mercyland Records in 2022 (shipped to the Kickstarter pledges in February, 2022). The album was recorded by Kevin Boettger, Jeremy Cottrell, and Ernesto Olvera at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee; with Phil Madeira producing. Mixed by Mitch Dane at Sputnik Sound in Nashville. All songs written by Phil Madeira except track 7 co-written with Jenny Littleton.
Featuring Phil Madeira on keyboards as well as lead and backing vocals, with Pat Bergeson and James Hollihan (tracks B3 and A6) on electric guitars, Chris Donohue on acoustic and electric bass, Bryan Owings on drums, and Dennis Holt on percussion. Horns and reeds provided by John Mark Painter, tenor saxophone provided by Jeff Coffin, and harmony vocals provided by Cindy Morgan and Jenny Littleton.
