No Kidnap Today is the fourth album by the American singer and songwriter Michael James Murphy, released on Home Sweet Home Records in 1986, manufactured and distributed by Word. The album was recorded by Bret Teegarden at Gold Mine Studio West in Beverly Hills, California; with Michael James Murphy producing for Home Sweet Home Records, assisted by Leslie Craig Smith. (Preproduction and sequencing at BT Productions in Tulas, Oklahoma.) Mixed by Teegarden at Gold Mine Studio West, with Dan Humann mixing tracks A3 and A4. Track A2 mixed by Les Williams, David Goldstein, and Michael James Murphy at Sonrise Recording Studios in Houston, Texas. All songs co-written by Bobby Price and Michael James Murphy with Leslie Craig Smith contributing to half of the song (tracks A1, A4, A5, B1, and B4).
