Caravan of Love is a single by the British indiepop band The Housemartins, released on Chrysalis Records in November 1986. The a cappella song was released both as a 7-inch single and as a maxi-single featuring five a cappella gospel songs. “Caravan of Love” was a success, reaching No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart on 16. December 1986 staying on the top until 23. December when it was knocked off the top spot. The song was first performed by the band in their second (John) Peel session in April 1986, prior to their initial chart success. “Caravan of Love” was also included on the Housemartins’ greatest hits compilation Now That’s What I Call Quite Good.
