Description
The self-titled five-track 12-inch vinyl EP by the American singer, songwriter, and jazz pianist Joanne Grauer was released on Avar Records in 1974. Arranged by Joanne Grauer with strings arranged by Joe Roccisano. All songs written or co-written by Joanne Grauer except track A2 written by Joe Roccisano. (“Mystical Lady” is a poem by guitarist James Dutch about Joanne herself, which she set to music.)
Featuring Joanne Grauer on acoustic and electric piano (Fender Rhodes piano with a “ring modulator”), as well as vocals on three tracks, backed by a rhythm section consisting of Ray Neapolitan on Fender bass and Steve Schaeffer on drums and percussion.
“Don’t Light Your Own Fire” on Daniel Amos’ self-titled debut album features Joanne Grauer on Fender Rhodes.
