Honey Lake

Description

Honey Lake is the debut album by the American industrial/electronic music combo Aleixa (Kevin “131” Gutierrez and Laurel Snapper, a duo formerly known as Sorrow of Seven), released on Liquid Disc Records in 1996, in association with Flying Tart. The basic tracks were recorded at Assembly Line Studios in Vienna, Virginia; with John Grant producing (“shaped by…”). Overdubbed and mixed by Grant and band member Kevin 131 at Secret Sound Studios in Baltimore, Maryland.

(Aleixa was formerly known as Sorrow of Seven, and under that name they had generated quite a buzz in the underground after several demos. It appears that they had originally signed to Flying Tart and started recording their full-length Honey Lake there. But at some point Flying Tart joined up with Liquid Disc Records to co-release Honey Lake, and really the album became more known as Liquid Disc release.)
