Gideon’s Army – Warriors of Love

Description

Warriors of Love is the sophomore album by the American rock band Gideon’s Army, released on A&R Records in 1986, distributed by Spring Arbor. The album was produced, recorded, and mixed by Ron Davis at Mastertrack Prod. during 1985, with the band co-producing.

This well-produced hard-rocking effort sounds stronger than similar product on so-called major labels. Gideon’s Army, a pop metal outfit from So. Cal., has quite a few of the pieces in place to do well with metal-heads throughout Christendom. These guys are not Oz Fox and Michael Sweet, but they do stand out on their own. A full-length debut, ‘Warriors of Love’ may grab these guys more than a little attention, and I’d bet on a major label scoopin’ ’em up for the next go round. [Brian Quincy Newcomb, CCM, April 1987]
