Glenn Kaiser Band – Carolina Moon

Description

Carolina Moon is an album by the American blues rock trio Glenn Kaiser Band fronted by singer, songwriter, and guitarist Glenn Kaiser of Resurrection Band fame, independently released on Grrr Records in 2001. The album was recorded by Roger Heiss and Ed Bialach at Tone Zone Recording in Chicago, Illinois; February 2001, with Tom Cameron and the band producing. Mixed by Heiss.

Featuring Glenn Kaiser on guitar, dobro, harmonica, and vocals, backed by a rhythm section consisting of Roy Montroy on bass and Ed Bialach on drums.

Blistering blues pulsing through the heart of hard rock. The Glenn Kaiser Band delivers with more zippity zest than was hinted at in their former album ‘Winter Sun‘, even on the crowd-pleasers like their cover of «Nobody’s Fault But Mine». Not just for fans of Kaiser’s solo Blues work, ‘Carolina Moon’ will please Resurrection Band fans looking for beefy chops, high-powered percussion and passionate, orotund vocals. Among the most consistent and accomplished albums of Kaiser’s recording career, ‘Carolina Moon’ is obligatory listening for the School of Heavenly Hard Knocks. [Steven S. Baldwin, The Phantom Tollbooth, 8/29/2001]
