Description

Lilly is the debut album by the American singer and songwriter Lilly Green, released on Destiny Records in 1974. Also released in the UK on Dovetail Records the following year. The album was recorded at Buddy King Studios in Huntington Beach, United Audio Corp. in Santa Ana, and Mama Jo’s Recording Studio in North Hollywood, California; with Evan Williams of Harvest Flight fame producing and arranging. Strings and horns arranged and conducted by David Diggs. All songs written by Lilly Green.

Featuring Lilly Green on acoustic guitar, piano and lead vocals, backed by various musicians including producer Evan Williams on Fender Rhodes, guitars, and bass, Erick Nelson on piano, Don Gerber on banjo, and David Diggs on drums. Background vocals provided by Phoenix Sonshine on a couple of tracks.

“God, A Woman, And A Man” was included on Myrrh Records’ multi-artister sampler The Greatest of These Is Love, released in 1976.
