Sound the Trumpet is a vocal album by the American singer, songwriter, and trumpeter Phil Driscoll, independently released on Mighty Horn Records in 1982, distributed by The Benson Company. Re-issued by Sparrow Records later the same year. The rhythm tracks were recorded by Kent Holmes at Faith Productions in Cleveland, Tennessee; with Phil Driscoll and Lari Goss producing for Mighty Horn Records. (All vocals and solo trumpet were recorded live with the rhythm section at the same time.) Strings, horns, and background vocals recorded by Chip Young at Young-Un Sound in Nashville, Tennessee. Mixed by Jack Gilmer and Phil Driscoll at Cartee III Recording Studio. Strings, horns and background vocals arranged by Lari Goss.

Featuring Phil Driscoll on solo trumpet and lead vocals backed by a session band consisting of producer Lari Goss on piano, Alan Steinberger on synthesizer, Mike Deasy on guitar, Ricky Keller on bass, and Buster Phillips on drums.
