Valley of the Moon

Description

Valley of the Moon is the sole album by this incarnation of the American band Lovecraft, released on Reprise Records in 1970. The album was recorded by Steve Barncard at Wally Heider Studios in San Francisco, California; 1970, with the band producing. Mixed by Fred Catero.

The original H.P. Lovecraft produced two psych/folk albums in the sixties. The band split but drummer Michael Tezga retained the name, regrouped as Lovecraft with himself being the only original member (adding Marty Grebb, Jim Donlinger, and Michael Been – the latter of The Call fame), and changed label from Philips to Reprise Records under management by Bill Graham.
