Description

After All These Years is a contemporary praise & worship album by the American singers, songwriters, and worship leaders Brian & Jenn Johnson, released on Bethel Music in January 2017. The album was produced by Jason Ingram and Paul Mabury. String arrangements by Brett Mabury.

After All These Years made its debut on Billboard Christian Albums chart at No. 1. The album also registered at No. 21 on the Billboard 200 and No. 32 on the Canadian Albums chart, and also made the duo’s first debut on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart at No. 7.

With Brian & Jenn having spent 15 years as worship pastors for the groundbreaking Bethel Church in Redding, California there can be few modern worship ministries with less to prove than Brian and Jenn. But there’s no resting on their laurels here as every track features a symphony orchestra and from the off «Mention Of Your Name» featuring Jenn and «Only Jesus» featuring Brian shows that the balance between their plaintive voices and soaringly dramatic classical arrangements work beautifully. The particular standouts are «I Won’t Forget», a moving confessional with lyrics many will identify with (“You came in the night and tore down the walls that held my broken heart/ When all I could see lay ruined and scarred/ Your light shattered the dark”). Just as moving is «Mercy And Majesty». There is one song here which breaks the worshipful focus, «You’re Gonna Be Okay», a song of encouragement for those going through a bad season.
