Hosanna USA -Live is a multi-artist compilation released on Maranatha! Music in 1979, distributed by Word.

Being a live recording, this Maranatha album of selections from an Anaheim, California concert satisfies me a little more the label’s pop studio output from the same era. Leon Patillo asks his audience “y’all ready to get down for the Lord?”, then proceeds to do just that with «Born Again», followed by «Temple To The Sky». Darrell Mansfield appears in basic mellow acoustic mode with «The Prize». The album’s peak moments belong to Benny Hester with two proud sturdy rock tracks heavy on the guitar: «Jesus Came Into My Life» and «We All Know He’s Comin» (Kelly Willard provides a pop song in between). Denny Correll wraps things up with two examples of his lively soulful rock. Talk with the audience is preserved, including opening remarks from Tom Stipe and a closing message from Pastor Chuck Smith. Wouldn’t have minded a bit more music and maybe a few non-LP tracks, but hey what are ya gonna do? [Ken Scott, The Archivist, 4th Edition]
