The Basics of Life is the third album by the American vocal pop quartet 4Him (featuring Andy Chrisman, Mark Harris, Marty Magehee, and Kirk Sullivan of Truth fame), released on Benson in 1992, distributed by The Benson Company. The album was recorded at Hummingbird Studio, OmniSound Studios, and Great Circle Sound in Nashville and at Johnny dB’s Basement in Antioch, Tennessee; with Jonathan David Brown (tracks 4, 6, and 7), Don Koch (tracks 1, 3, 5, and 9), as well as Chris Harris and Mark Heimermann (tracks 2 and 8), producing. Mixed by Brown at Johnny dB’s Basement.
